It’s not 1982 or 1965. Nope, we have to go back more than 70 years before we lived as dangerously as this. According to the International Monetary Fund, in their recently released World Economic Outlook of April 2009, by all measures (and they have many) we are experiencing the worst recession since the Great Depression. For retailers, will it be déjà vu all over again or the future ain’t what is use to be (with apologies to Yogi Berra)?
