| Posted: 24 Sep 2009 05:28 AM PDT Bernard Stiegler describes the change/evolution of information provisioning and its related awareness and opinion building over the period of last 400 years. Reading that book I recognize some parallel developments within the processing of knowledge. This likeness is more or less evident, because we (the global society) deal with the same participants within both influential processes (knowledge and information consumption). In the area of information provisioning Bernard Stiegler points to some dramatic mental changes and relates them to current violent behavior in society. Answering the question about similar effects in knowledge might lead to surprises as well. |

| Use of the Report Designer Component (RDC) in VS .NET Posted: 23 Sep 2009 12:17 PM PDT Every few weeks, I notice a flurry of activity regarding the use of the Crystal Reports Report Designer Component (RDC) which appears to ship with Crystal Reports versions that bundle with Visual Studio .NET. In this blog I want to explain why the RDC apparently ships with these versions of Crystal Reports. Also, I want to explain why the use the RDC for development purposes from the bundled versions of Crystal Reports is not allowed. |
