| Part 2 - Netweaver Trial Remote Access Posted: 09 Oct 2009 02:56 PM PDT After installing SAP Netweaver Trial, I realised that it would be very convenient if I could connect to my SAP server at home from a remote location such as my laptop while I was at a client's site. This would enable me to access all my test code, or have a familiar environment to figure out problems that I may have already come across while playing around at home. I will discuss the options I thought of to achieve this - Remote Desktop, VPN and Static IP Address. |

| Voyager: Understanding scrolling in the crosstab Posted: 09 Oct 2009 02:38 PM PDT The Voyager crosstab implements a data loading strategy that balances the need for quick scrolling against query execution time and memory usage when fetching large amounts of data from the OLAP server. Voyager uses the concept of fetching a data window of a certain size within which scrolling is fast. The size of this data window can be configured therefore it is important to understand how Voyager implements scrolling so as to choose the correct size data window for Voyager to operate effectively in a particular scenario. |
