How to create a direct URL for xRPM Item Posted: 09 Feb 2010 04:00 AM PST There was a business requirement in our xRPM 4.5 SP6 implementation to send emails out on Gate approvals. The expectation was to provide xRPM item link in the email text so that user can click on the link and navigate directly to xRPM item. There was no standard functionality available in xRPM to achieve this. SAP customer support confirmed that.

How-to Handle Data in the SAP NetWeaver System Landscape Directory Posted: 09 Feb 2010 02:56 AM PST The System Landscape Directory (SLD) of SAP NetWeaver is a central provider of information on software and systems. It is used by many client applications, such as SAP NetWeaver Process Integration, SAP Solution Manager, and the Adaptive Computing Controller. SLD data is needed in three areas of the landscape, for development systems, productive systems and systems managing systems. According to the different roles, different types of data are needed in each area. On the other hand, data should be gathered in one place to avoid inconsistencies. Therefore, data is retrieved once and then distributed.

Posted: 08 Feb 2010 02:38 PM PST SAP developed BI Content (formerly delivered as Business content and Technical content) based on best practices from nearly 10,000 Business Warehouse installations. SAP BI Content is an evolving set of information models. But there are gaps when it comes to delivering BI Content for specific industry or specific business requirements. This is when Partners and Software Solution Providers complement SAP delivered BI Content. BI Content that is delivered for this specific industry or business requirement is referred to as “Partner Content” or “Third Party Content”. BI Content delivered that is delivered by SAP Partners or SSPs can be certified by SAP Integration and Certification Center (ICC) and they can obtain “SAP Certified” logo.
