Lack of Innovation? - never noticed since first R/1 in 1972 Posted: 03 Jun 2010 04:35 AM PDT It is like mantra-gone-bad that Wall Street and its analysts are constantly repeating: The lack of innovation at SAP. Global economy had dramatically anticipated that Wall Street’s vision and primate of maximizing money every quarter does not reflect the true value of local economies and enterprises, and especially not SAP' ecosystem of customers and partners.

The COmmon Reference Architecture (CORA), Part II Posted: 02 Jun 2010 01:34 PM PDT The CORA model describes elements with their interactions and principles at an Enterprise Architecture level in such a way that different architecture styles, such as N-tier, Service Oriented and Resource Oriented, can be fitted in. With the help of the CORA model a reference Software Architecture or detailed technology architecture can be created from a total IT landscape point of view, containing SAP and non-SAP components. This forms the basis from which Solution Architectures of individual projects within the portfolio can be derived and detailed.
If you feel you have a voice then you should use it Posted: 02 Jun 2010 12:52 PM PDT Even if you’re not directly involved in selling a product, getting an idea of what people do, what delights them and what frustrates them is key to understanding where the solution needs to be improved or where a solution needs to be implemented. Conversely, If you want your work conditions to improve you have to be appropriately vocal about your work experiences with the technology you useyou’re your expectations otherwise no one will ever know that something is inefficient or ineffective. Innovation can only arise from an understanding of the status quo, this means questions need to be answered.
