Galaxy of Demand Planning: Fine Architecture and the base principles Posted: 14 Jul 2010 03:40 AM PDT The very term "Demand Planning (DP)"; gives the rough understanding of what actually we are dealing with; "planning the demand", and when I say "Planning", it always happens for the future, and you agree with that! In simple terms, by saying DP, we mean to say as that we are predicting the future demand. This weblog talks how the technical architecture of DP in the APO module has been configured, but in a simple and lay-man terms. The blog is not aimed at the technical implementation, but just the basic understanding of the DP architecture, at the high level, laying the foundation for further deeper study into the same--which will be seen in my coming blogs/articles.
The COmmon Reference Architecture (CORA), Part VI Posted: 14 Jul 2010 02:34 AM PDT The CORA model describes elements with their interactions and principles at an Enterprise Architecture level in such a way that different architecture styles, such as N-tier, Service Oriented and Resource Oriented, can be fitted in. With the help of the CORA model a reference Software Architecture or detailed technology architecture can be created from a total IT landscape point of view, containing SAP and non-SAP components. This forms the basis from which Solution Architectures of individual projects within the portfolio can be derived and detailed. In this blog the CORA model is used to assess a ROA based iPhone App connecting with SAP.
Class to handle Selection Screens. No more LOOP AT SCREEN Posted: 14 Jul 2010 01:26 AM PDT Handle selection screens using "LOOP AT SCREEN" statement can be very boring and consume some time when developing and maintaining such logic. I developed a simple class which helped me a lot in handling selection screens events like changing the input, visibility or others attributes from parameters and select-options
