| Parallel Processing Using SPTA Framework Posted: 18 Aug 2010 05:15 AM PDT When we use parallel processing, the execution of a report or transaction is much faster, because several tasks are processed at the same time rather than one after the other. Usually programs execute sequentially, that is they process one line of coding after the next. With parallel processing programs can process several lines of coding simultaneously. For those parts of a program that are executed in parallel there is no strict sequence of execution. This is only possible, if those parts do not depend on each other. So the more it is possible to split the program into different chains of execution, which are independent of each other, the more it will benefit from parallel processing. |

| How to retrieve query variables Posted: 17 Aug 2010 10:35 AM PDT Sometimes in BW implementation projects or even in maintenance of BW solutions when dealing with queries you can face the issue of knowing which variables are created in a query. I saw recently a post where a SDN member was asking the following question : How can I check the variable ZXXX1 is created in designer or not? forum post link http://forums.sdn.sap.com/message.jspa?messageID=9392572#9392572 Therefore I wanted to develop a litte bit my answer and go further with a small how to solution for member who are not familiar with ABAP coding or facing the issue of founding which variables are created in a query. |
