Generating QR codes with a Zebra Crossing in the Java stack

My QR code adventures in SAP, this time with ZXing (Zebra Crossing) and Java. The open source based ZXing has a QR code encoder in its core package. Also my attempts at using the ZXing barcode scanner to send data back to SAP with a hack and intents. How hard can it be for me as a beginner in Java to generate a QR code and get scanned data into SAP.

The on-demand Line of Business co innovation team has one person in mind -- the end user. SAP has traditionally operated through the IT department; however for this product offering (on-demand Line of Business applications), we want to reach the end user directly. In order to gain a deeper understanding of the end users ‘wish list’, we spent countless hours in conversation with current and potential customers, soliciting feedback and gleaning customer insights. Thus the information here is based not on personal opinion, but on in-depth customer feedback.

An analysis of the Certification Survey Results
