How to release (or) refresh a Portal Component Project (PAR file) in SAP Portal?

I am here trying to explain a small error category in the Portal and also want to let developers know the importance of validations and messages in Portal. Dumps are common in Portal Application Projects, but that does not mean we have to leave them, we need to add some try catch kind of validations and show an appropriate message to the end user, so that the Portal will be more useful and also looks nice with respective to end user.
