PAS 55 certified: CLP Power Hong Kong uses SAP EAM in its pursuit for excellence in asset management

CLP Power operates a vertically integrated electricity generation, transmission and distribution business in Hong Kong and provides electricity to over 5.7 million people. PSBG (Power Systems Business Group) of CLP Power Hong Kong uses SAP solutions extensively, with SAP Enterprise Asset Management (SAP EAM) at its core and supported by asset management expertise from The Woodhouse Partnership Ltd (who provided training, roadmapping and independently auditing of PSBG’s PAS 55 compliance, commenting that “PSBG are a shining example of outstandingly good asset management practices and processes”). PSBG became the first Asian electric utility company to receive the PAS 55 compliance certificate.

I just was just invited and involved in testing the WB ABAP based Employee Self Services (ESS), in phase 2. I was focusing on the Cross Application Time Sheet (CATS) and the Clock In/Out services. We just wrapped up and exited the final feedback call. The Product owner asked us 'What about you, what would you suggest to enhance further and/or improve the functionalities?'. I had to chime in !
