River goes mobile: The SAP Mentors Outreach Mobile App as a prototype for a new type of Edge Innovation

A few days ago, I released the SAP Mentors Outreach app. This mobile app for Android, which was even demoed to the great Hasso Plattner, uses River, SAP’s cloud-based Platform-as-a-Service offering, as a back-end. This post looks behind the scenes of its architecture and explains why I believe that it is the prototype of a new kind of mobile enterprise applications.

SAP Note Viewer for iPad and iPhone v2.0 Released

With over 9000 downloads and counting, I am please to announce the latest versions of the SAP Note viewer for iPhone and iPad. The biggest improvements made to the apps includes text searching and note tagging along with host of bug fixes. Thanks to the community for the support and great ideas to continue making the app even better.

Sustainable folks :) I thought it would be better to have the 3rd blog on this topic to be another generic one, just like the first blog of this series. Though I had promised for result oriented SAP Procurement consultants, that follow-on blogs would focus on each business object, but I thought out that a "fun de-tour" would actually bring us to the social side before part 4 on Purchase Orders and Contracts kick-in.
