A newbie starts navigating SAP

I’m a newbie and have just started exploring SAP. My main interest is HR applications. I started to read the available documentation on SAP system and thought to share my experiences with those who share the same profile as mine. I’ve learned the very basic which is to get familiar with SAP GUI structure and have documented my learning.

Is assumption the mother of all mistakes?

I make assumptions. Ever since I started working in SAP, I've been successfully making assumptions specifically during installs/upgrades. I believe this approach is less expensive and less time consuming than SAP's recommended approach of "Read hundreds of pages of documentation and notes" before starting an upgrade/install.

I have to save the world in time .....
