This article raises the concern about password security caused by powerful yet affordable teraflop personal supercomputers, geared by the massively parallel computing capability of GPGPU on consumer-class graphic cards. It tries to provide possible solutions for both system administrators and software vendors to fight against the new risk.

Emphasizing on RoI actually means aiming at the least. What must be aimed at is the 'great expectations' of the client and ASAP too. In both the cases what appears desirable is a systematic effort. “Information Technology Investment Management -- A Framework for Assessing and Improving Process Maturity” appears to provide a good guidance.
